Tours Dance Alloy Theater is honored to have been invited to present the international premiere of Donald Byrd's THE INTERRUPTED NARRATIVE/NO CONSOLATION at the internationale tanzmesse nrw in Düsseldorf Germany on August 29, 2008. Dance Alloy Theater will perform for nearly 1,000 choreographers, dancers and professionals from over 40 countries. Inspired by the senseless loss of countless young lives to violence, war, careless mistakes and accidents, Donald Byrd’s THE INTERRUPTED NARRATIVE/NO CONSOLATION explores the internal anguish of a story cut short, mid-sentence; a path never fully explored. NO CONSOLATION received standing ovations each night during Dance Alloy Theater’s premiere performance run in April 2007, garnering critical acclaim locally and nationally from Pittsburgh to Ohio to North Carolina. |
